PHOTOS - Wilmot Hills Road Racing Course - 1953

1953 was the first year Wilmot Hills race course operated.  According to the Chicago Region history, the track was talked about in April and the first race held in September.  Quick work!

These photographs are by Armin "Army" Krueger, Milwuakee, WI, a well known motorsports photographer of the time.  They were provided by Ralph, Carol and Ralph Jr Hibbard, who operate Greenfield Gallery, S91W27850 Hwy ES, Mukwonago WI 53149.  (262) 363-5885.   Greenfield Gallery has acquired all of Army Krueger's negatives.  Contact them for prints of these photos, old and contemporary racing photos of all kinds and other types of racing memorabilia.
